As STL is both a dressage and liberty club, we have daily trainings that cover both areas, although we do focus more on dressage. We typically train four times a week. Often practicing at 8pm at Jorvik Stables Arena or the Riding Arena, for dressage, or at Valedale / Paddock Island arenas, for liberty. Feel free to come watch us if you like!

As we are an elite dressage club, we often compete in both friendly and competitive competitions. In future we hope that more clubs introduce liberty so we can compete in liberty too.

We have 3 dressage groups, and one liberty group:

​

Junior class - Our beginner dressage members. They don't compete very often as they are still learning! But they do enjoy an occasional competition in the junior / basic class.

Intermediate class - Our intermediate class is for our members that have been doing dressage for a while and they also love to compete!

​

Senior class - Our senior class is for our most advanced members, they perform with beauty, skill and grace but also often compete against other clubs. This is the group that represents us in public performances along with our liberty group.

Liberty - Our liberty group is for our horses that are so well trained at liberty, and do a stunning performance, but also for our trainers who dance beside them. Well done to the Starries for training their horses so well!
