ABOUT US
Moon Protectors is a competitive academic style dressage family on the UK server Cupcake Valley owned by Paige Season and April Almondweb. We were formed as Night Dancers Nation on 1st September 2019 but later changed to Moon Protectors 1st August 2023.​

We are aimed at the older members of the community, hoping to create a safe space for adult players, however we do accept those who are 16+, our average age is around 20. Alongside dressage, we play a variety of games and hang out :)

We are a close knit family outside of the arenas, always excited to spend time with each other. We have many hopes and aspirations for the future of the club, not only do we want to form stronger bonds within the club, but we also want to excel in the arenas. ​

We believe in in teaching from the ground up, giving you solid foundations to build skills upon and new opportunities to test these out. We understand that those who may come to us may not be complete beginners, however we believe this is the best way to educate people with our way of dressage, though we try make even the basics as enjoyable as possible. We believe one of the best ways to learn is by putting your skills to the test and using them practically through both tests and routines. The way we are structured prepares our members to compete within our competition team, aiming for all members to join our comp team. You can read about our level system on our dressage page.
Here in Moon Protectors we believe everyone should be given the chance to compete, no matter their skill level.

MP offers a variety of opportunities open to all members, along with a welcoming, warm and organised environment. See below for what we offer:
- Welcoming to all dressage levels, we have 3 dressage ranks (new moon, crescent moon and full moon/callisto)
- Friendly instructors happy to help you with any dressage needs (including private 1on1 or group lessons)
- Your own buddy to help you integrate into the club, along with answer all your questions
- Opportunity to compete in large-scale competitions, live competitions and small individual / group competitions
- Rank lessons 2-3 times per week and 1 all-rank lesson once per week
- Competition team lessons 2-4 times per week (including 1 skills lesson)
- Opportunity to learn our teaching styles and become an instructor yourself!
- Learn routines and compete throughout all ranks (not just our comp team competes!)
- We hangout in calls daily, we have game pings or hangout ping anyone can use
- Weekly fun events, such as movie nights, training, game nights and more!
- Bi-monthly feedback forms to have your say and input

- Housing system with house events and competitions
OUR HISTORY
Moon Protectors was originally known as Night Dancers Nation, created 1st September 2019, but chose to rebrand due to not aligning with our original goals for the club. NDN was a competitive club, reaching high placings in SSD competitions, getting invited and competing within internationals, and also becoming SSD's club of the year 2021. The owners fell out of love with dressage and competing, taking a break near the end of NDN's time. Life was too busy and playing SSO was not what a lot of us wanted to do, one day we decided to return but felt it was best to put NDN to rest. We no longer wanted to compete at the time but instead just wanted to do dressage from time to time and hangout with everyone.
Moon Protectors was then created! We started as an 18+ club for older members of the community, though our age requirement has changed, we still strive to aim ourselves as a place for the older members of the community. When we got into things more, our passion for dressage was reignited and our competitive urges came back, we reinvented ourselves to strive to compete and create an environment for any dressage level to progress and learn with us. Though NDN is in our hearts, we are Moon Protectors now and hope to achieve even better things than what we did with NDN.
